ValleysShutterBug reaches one year old

Well I never thought I would see this day come, one year in and im sticking at it. Its true what they say, "passion is for life, hobbies are for Christmas". Strictly untrue because i just made it up :)

I want to thank everyone who has followed, commented and given advise over the last 12 months. I think i have definitely grown as an artist (posh term for us happy snappers) and approach every scene if i were looking through a lens, even if i dont have my camera with me.

What I have learned in the last year

  • Be respectful and honest with your fellow bloggers. They are you biggest critics, and can help you through tough times.
  • I now only shoot in RAW MANUAL mode, regardless of the situation.
  • I know that i am pretty decent at knowing what looks good in colour and what should be switched to mono, HDR processing and landscapes.
  • Not having the most expensive kit does not mean that you cannot capture great images

What i want to achieve in the next 12 months
  • To still be blogging
  • To issue more posts than in year 1
  • To get 250+ follows
  • To find my photographic niche
  • Get noticed more as an amateur photographer, and get published in something respected.
  •  To be able as a trusted and honest blogger to reviewing photography equipment, accessories Etc.
