Images of the Day - Real HDR's with Photomatix

After trying my hand yesterday with HDR's through Photoshop CS5, i was not overly impressed with the quality of the finished article.

I threw the question out there to see what people thought and a better package to use other than PS CS5. My blogging buddy Tex over @ run-a-roundranch suggested PhotoMatix Pro.

I tried this new program with some of the photos from yesterday and these are the results

    1. Andrew, you live in such a beautiful area to use this technique to the max. Get out there and get snapping. Id dont suppose there would be anything to lose.

  5. Interesting perhaps surreal, but an effect that could pale quickly. Boom And Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

    1. I totally agree with you Gary, although if done subtly you couldnt tell the difference between HDR and a normal photo. The only change noticed by the keenest of eyes is there is a better tonal range to the overall photo due to the different exposures.

  6. I think these look good too Shaun... probably a matter of taste as to which program is "better?"
