Image Of The Day - Beautiful depression

Another one of my Photo-manipulations, I created this using my newly bought Wacom Touch and pen graphics tablet. Its a breath of fresh air, as the increased work space and  flexibility of the unit makes it a must for any budding illustrator or photoshop geek.

Image Of The Day 2 - dead to right

Well as i was instructed to create an image for my sister, we have a second installment of the Dead to Right series. This time using a vampire type skull and a flame effect.

Thanks

Shaun

Images of the day - Dead to Right

Sorry but another day of really bad weather has kept me from going out and taking photos. Today's images are another set from my Photoshop library and are loosely based around the theme of death and decay, not the best attempt in the world but i like them.
Enjoy

This is a variant of the above image, just to show the effect of the skull and goat eye.

Image of the Day - Pen-y-Fan

Today's IOTD is taken opposite a great walking spot in The south Wales valleys, located in the Brecon Beacons nation park, the views from atop this mountain is spectacular. But with the poor weather we  have been having you cant quite make out the summit.

Information on Pen-Y-Fan can be found HERE

I am hoping to get to walk up there at some point in the new year to get some nice landscape photos.

Thanks

Shaun

Image Of The day - Spray day

After a trip to the local skate park at Rhydycar tonight to get some shots of the nifty graffiti, this seemed to be the pick of the bunch.
The tags are not fully complete, but they have managed to finish the word "games" along one ramp side.

Painting with Light - First Attempts

Well there is no image of the day today (hooray I hear you cry), i have tried for the first time my hand at something new. LIGHT PAINTING, why didnt i think of this sooner i don't know as it it totally addivtive and puts a different slant of the art of photography.

These are some of the un-edited, no post production pictures of what i managed to capture.

All of the below were shot with my Nikon D3100 with standard VR18-35mm lens, mounted on a tripod and wireless shutter activation device. All shots taken at f5.4 in bulb mode.

First ever go and stated by drawing some pretty basic circles.

Then i added a blue gel onto the torch and tried spelling my name...... A little more practice needed i think, you can just about make out the S, H, and a U... Must try harder

Then, because i didnt have a clue what i was doing i decided to paint my door. With the gel removed and armed with my wireless device i took this over a period of about 22 seconds. Sorry that i forgot to cover the one square, seems alot harder when you in complete darkness.

And now we welcome the test dummy for the evening, this is my little brother (Hello HJ), i wondered what
would happen if, once again i put the blue gel back on and painted him over the period of 30 seconds.

As usual all comments welcome

Shaun

Image of the Day - Drummer boy

While out the weekend we stumbled upon this old timer, propped up against various walls around town he was playing his little drum with one hand and fluting with the other (i so want to be him, just not in winter)

I had to catch a quick snap of him while there was no one around. I hope you like.
